How to create a mini site
Mini Sites are simple (but powerful) one or two page web sites that sell a product -- usually, an infoproduct. Mini-sites are in my opinion The Perfect Web Business.
The primary purpose of a mini site is to collect subscribers everything else after that is secondary.
Actually the primary purpose of a mini site has 3 purposes:
1.) To get someone to decide yes or no,
2.) Buy or not to buy,
3.) Click or not to click.
A mini site is not a sales letter or a promotion piece that you use Google Adwords to drive traffic at.
This is what's known as Google cashing. Basically you're paying a nickel for the ad which you use to drive traffic to your affiliate site which has a good running and performing affiliate link, one that converts well.
Here's a simple plan for driving hundreds and even thousands of new visitors to your website every single day! The Secret to Non-Stop, FREE, Targeted Traffic
So if your visitor spent money while on the site then you're making more than you spent. It really depends on whether you want to run a promotional piece or build a business. I'll let you decide which to do.
A mini site is a 3-5 page content site that has one sole purpose it asks a visitor to either:
1.)Subscribe to your newsletter, or special report, or mp3 report or mini course or what ever you want them to subscribe for.
2.)Buy your own product.
3.)Click the red x on the top right hand side.
A good mini site must have a subscription form on the page itself and not a pop up or an exit click sign up form. The sign up must be on the page and doesn't exit when the visitor enters his email address. Lots of people myself included are employing pop up blockers, so you want to avoid the blocker from stopping it.
The first purpose is to get someone to sign up for your newsletter. Or mini course or to get request the download link for something you're offering like a special report.
But they need to give you their email address straight off. This is the main focus of your mini site. The biggest mistake affiliates make with mini sites is not asking for the email address.
The second purpose is to sell your own product. Be it an e-book or some software or something you own. What you're really doing with this is testing your copy or your price or your offer or your sales page....... What ever it is you're using to make that sale. You need them to make a decision so you can determine what works and what doesn't.
The third purpose is to make referrals to your affiliate link. I know you're thinking that should be the first but it isn't. That's just the purpose of the affiliate link NOT the affiliate Mini site. As stated above the purpose of the affiliate mini site is to get the email address so you can make many offers to the subscriber later on.
The biggest mistake affiliates make is setting up a website with long lists of affiliate links, banner ads and all the rest of it. While never asking for the visitors email address.
