Have you ever seen those products about making money with Adsense? Ever wonder how the lucky few really make thousands per month?

I'll tell you one way - they build dozens if not hundreds of Internet portal sites that have Adsense strategically embedded within all pages. But that by itself isn't that difficult, as push-button software exists that can create sites in a flash!

The *key* is visibility. Adsense by itself makes less money than flattened roadkill - you need people to actually visit and click on the ads to make money! Thus, traffic is one major component to making money with Adsense.

And here are 10 power tips you can use yourself to increase your earnings today.

1.) Use the Adsense Link unit when possible. Do you have a Table of Contents along the top or left hand side of your site? If so, tack on a Adsense Link unit - their single-line ad-click will look more natural.

2.) Break your niches down. A "car" niche can be broken down into sports cars, minivans, SUVs, etc. And a 'sports cars' niche can be further distilled into Ferrari, Jaguar, Porsche, etc. The more you structure your pages, the more targeted your ads should be.

3.) If you want to be subtle, blend your colors. If your webpage background is white, set your ad color and ad border to white and your link color to whatever you are using yourself. Quite often, "blue" means "click" to visitors.

4.) If you want to stand out, reverse your ad colors compared to your page. Let's say that your page background is dark blue. If you set your adsense background to white, you'll immediately draw your visitors eye.

5.) Create a spoked hub. Let's say that you have a Coffee super-portal. Within that topic, create a subportal for coffee makers, coffee providers, coffee cups, etc. Create a one-way link from each of these sub-portals to the main coffee portal. This will help increase backlinks, especially if each sub-portal is on a different IP.

6.) Create a daisy chained hub. Another way to increase traffic is to link each sub-portal to the next sub-portal...and then link the last one to the main portal site.

7.) Create an RSS feed for your portal. Then create a blog...and add that RSS feed to your blog. It will increase your backlinks.

8.) Create 5 blogs that will autopost relevant news content about your portal topic...and then make sure to include one link per post to a page in your portal. When people find your blog postings thru Technorati, they'll be more likely to visit your money pages on your portal.

9.) Add an optin signup page for each portal. The fact is, search engines are always changing their algorithms, and your pages might some year sink to below the Titanic. If you have an optin signup page, you can then develop a targeted ezine and create more customers for your future products.

10.) Open your mind to life beyond Adsense. Remember, Adsense delivers per click...generally less than a few dollars at the most. Clickbank affiliate products often pay 50% or more per buy! If you have a proven stream of targeted visitors for a parcticular keyword, search for affiliate programs that will pay you $10 or more. You might end up making more with that than your Adsense income!
